How We Select Our Trainees
Selection process Matthew Arnold School is the lead school in the partnership and will be coordinating the recruitment process. This will involve 1/2 a day spent at either Matthew Arnold or another school in the consortium and will include teaching a 20 minute observed mini-teach , written test to asses candidates ability to write at masters level, and a formal interview. You will be told in advance of the content of the mini-teach and the age group you will be teaching. Our university partner, LJMU will be involved throughout the process. It is a rigorous and thorough process, designed to get the best match of applicant into MAITT schools. Following the recruitment cycle, MAITT holds a matching day where successful applicants meet the Head Teachers from our partner schools.
